Virginia Wounded Warrior Program
Northern Region


The Virginia Wounded Warrior Program was created by the 2008 General Assembly to ensure that services to veterans and their families are readily available in all areas of the state. It is operated by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services in cooperation with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services.

VWWP is a state program offered on a regional basis through a collaboration of community services boards, Brain Injury Services Providers, and other public and private service providers.


Who we serve:

  • Veterans of any era who are Virginia residents
  • Members of the Virginia National Guard
  • Members of the Armed Forces Reserves
  • Family members of veterans
